I enjoy seeing the light bulb moments students have when a new concept is understood.  I love to see how students’ personalities and hearts are reflected in their work.  Most of all I love to make connections with them and assist them in building themselves to prepare them for each step forward in life.  To me, it is pure joy!

I grew up in Boise, Idaho.  I lived in the same house from the time I was born to when I graduated from high school.  My grandparents lived in Cascade and I spent many years visiting them and enjoying the area.  It was exciting to move my family to Cascade in 2011.  There is nowhere else we would rather live.

For over 20 years I have enjoyed working with youth of various ages in different organizations.  It wasn’t until I joined the Cascade Rambler staff in 2020 that my heart yearned to be in the classroom with students.  I have been creative my whole life and have enjoyed many different forms of art, gravitating more to photography and commercial arts in the last 12 years.  I am currently attending Boise State University so I can become a certified teacher in visual arts.  I am thrilled to share my love for art with students while I make this journey.

I love to be with people!  I enjoy almost any activity I get to do with family and friends.  Some of my favorite outdoor activities are snowboarding, river surfing, and backyard BBQ's.  I enjoy photography, cooking, reading non-fiction (my kids think I’m crazy for this), and laughing.  I love the simple and beautiful life I have in Cascade in a great community with endless recreation!
