Junior High Physical Education Teacher

I came to Cascade Schools in 2010 as a student teacher. Upon graduating with a degree in Physical Education, I stayed in Cascade and worked as a PSR worker, and as a substitute teacher. In 2013, the previous Elementary Physical Education teacher retired, and I have been teaching here ever since! I love Cascade. I have been an active member of the community since my arrival. The community is very welcoming, and most of all, I love working with the kids at Cascade Schools!
I graduated from the University of Idaho in 2010 with a B.S. in Physical Education and minors in Health Education and History. I am an Idaho Certified teacher in K-12 Physical Education and 6-12 Health Education I began teaching in 2013. I started as half time Elementary Physical Education and the other half of my day was spent in the 1st grade classroom and Title 1 Classroom as a paraprofessional. Since then I have become full time. My list of classes taught have included: Title 1, K-6 Physical Education, 7-8 Physical Education, Intro to Fitness, Language Skills Lab, Life Skills, Health, and Computer Applications.
I moved to Cascade in 2010 for my student teaching and haven't left! My husband and I have 2 cats (Allie and Lola) and a dog (Zeba) whom we love like children. I absolutely love living in Cascade! During the summer months, I spend most of my time outside. I spend a large amount of summer at the local golf course mowing fairways, paddle boarding, or golfing. When the weather cools down, I spend my time inside crocheting, reading, listening to audio books, or watching The Office. I also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter.
