mr. Jeff Blaser

As the district superintendent, I love being with our K-12 students! They have so much potential and bring life to our community. I love teaming and working with the amazing staff here at Cascade School. It is truly an honor to start each day with the following thoughts: Today I get to...lead with purpose, serve people, solve problems, and bring positive energy to this community. I firmly believe the school is the community and the community is the school.
I began my teaching career in education in 1984 teaching and coaching. During this time, I developed a toolbox full of intervention skills and saw how they directly affected student achievement. Continuing in this career path I had the opportunity to work with diverse students in the classroom, as a teacher, professional technical club advisor, and coach. In 1996 the police chief encouraged me to take my community intervention interests and educational experience to a new level by becoming a full-time police officer. The experience as a police officer has allowed me to better serve the educational community with a more broad perspective - My tenure experience in law enforcement included working as a patrol officer, school resource officer and juvenile detective, motor officer, metro swat team member, and Idaho POST Academy instructor. In 2008 I accepted a position at a large urban high school. I continued studying community intervention working toward an Educational Specialist Degree with a superintendent endorsement. My desire to practice leadership in a rural school setting became a reality in 2018 when I was offered the position as superintendent of schools for the Cascade School District.
I enjoy Mountain Bike Riding (Both Cross Country and DH - Downhill), Reading, Running Cross Country, Hunting and Target Shooting, Fly Fishing, Cutting Firewood, and spending time with friends and family.
