We are working to develop an athletic program that is recognized and well respected throughout the state of Idaho. The success of this program is a direct reflection of the hard work our players, parents, and staff put in during the school year, season as well as in the off season. You can expect success that is measured beyond the win-loss record. Success is within the journey as much as it is about reaching the destination. Our success is about uniting a group of individuals to pursue a common goal and to overcome individual differences in order for the TEAM to achieve its potential; success of the athlete excelling on a personal level on the court as well as off the court by being a part of something bigger than the individual. Being a Rambler student athlete is a commitment to hard work and dedication that requires the selection of student athletes who “bring something special to the classroom, playing arena, and their team”.
All Student Athletes are required to complete the following for each season that they participate:
Please have the following forms completed and ready for Coach on the first day of practice.
Current Physician completed Physical exam (see specifics below)

Student athletes in grades 10 or 12 that already have a complete and current physical

To be academically eligible for athletics, a student must be enrolled full-time in his/her school, on target to graduate based on State Board of Education graduation requirements, and have received passing grades and earned credits in five courses during the previous semester. Students participating with a cumulative GPA below 2.0 must have an academic improvement plan in place as developed by Cascade High School. This plan must include monitoring, additional assistance, time provided for assistance, and an appropriate timeline. Additionally, Cascade High School has adopted a “No F’s” policy, meaning players will not play if they have F’s regardless of their GPA.
Grade Checks are completed every other week on Monday. Any sub-par grades will be reported to the coach. It is the coach’s responsibility to know the process for remediation and to discuss grades with athletes as soon as possible. Students will have until Thursday at 4pm to turn in a completed Athletic Academic Grade Check showing that they have repaired any grades that were waning. Until those grades are repaired—no participation in competitions or travel is allowed for extra-curricular events. If a player has not repaired the grade by Thursday at 4pm, they are ineligible until the next grade check no matter what their grade becomes.
