Rooms - School to Family Communication tool

We have about 66% of our families signed up for Rooms - Thank you!

This is the THE communication tool for our School District - we will not be using Remind anymore. If you have not done this yet, please make some time to do so. This is the one stop place for communication between families and the district. Families will have access to teachers, coaches, and club/class advisors all in one place.

Hi Junior and Senior Parents!

Just a quick heads-up: On Tuesday, September 3rd, we’ll be administering the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test to Juniors and Seniors. If your student is already working with a recruiter, they should check first if they need to retake the test. It will start during the 2nd Period.

Thank you,

Mrs. Candice

SPOTLIGHT Policy Review - Policy 3400 Extracurricular Activity Drug Testing Program

The Trustees will be asked to review and edit the current policy 3400 - it outlines the Extracurricular Activity Drug Testing Program. Part of reviewing and revising policy has to take into consideration the values of the community and the families that the District serves.

In a nutshell, this policy stipulates that every student athlete and parent must consent to random drug testing throughout the season of play. Please check the link below for the suggested re-write of policy 3400.

📝 Annual Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) 📝

During the 2021 legislative session, changes were made to the sections of statute related to district plans (Continuous Improvement Plans, Literacy Intervention Programs Plans, and College and Career Advising and Mentoring Plans). Please note the following:

  • Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) requirements were expanded.

  • Districts and charter schools must maintain a Literacy Intervention Program Plan, but are no longer required to submit it for review.

  • The College and Career Advising and Mentoring Plan is no longer required.

I would welcome feedback or questions on the proposed CIP for the Cascade School District - email joni@cascadeschools.org.
