Understanding Executive Functioning in StudentsExecutive functioning refers to the brain processes that help students plan, organize, focus, and manage tasks. Children with challenges in this area might struggle with remembering instructions, staying organized, or completing tasks on time. It’s important to know that these difficulties are not due to lack of effort but are part of how the brain develops. Parents can help by creating routines, breaking tasks into small steps, and using visual aids like checklists to support their child’s development of these skills.
