Planet Youth in Cascade 2024-2025 (Grades 6-12)On March 4th, a survey on the well-being of youth will be administered amongst students in Cascade. This is an opt-in survey for families, so please be on the lookout for a signature form.
Students in 6th - 12th grades will fill out an anonymous and confidential questionnaire, including questions on their health, behavior, substance use, and well-being. The information gathered from the questionnaires cannot be traced back to individual students. The survey will take about 40 minutes to fill out and will be administered during school hours.
The Planet Youth surveys have been implemented worldwide since 2006 and in Iceland since 1992. The survey has produced results vital to those working with young people, providing information that has been used as a basis in policymaking and prevention work amongst those working to improve the health and well-being of youth.
The main focus of the studies has been the same from the start and includes relationships with friends and family, sports participation and extracurricular activities, social life, health, substance use, bullying, future expectations, sleep, and strain, along with other important factors. Once surveys are completed, the outcome is processed by Planet Youth, and reports are made available within eight weeks. |

There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!
Thanks, Nicole Dellabalma

Understanding Related Services in Special EducationRelated services are additional supports that help students with disabilities access their education. These services may include speech therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, or physical therapy. Parents should work with the IEP team to determine if their child needs related services to succeed in school. Regular check-ins can help ensure that these services are meeting your child’s needs.

Listen to "The Ranch" Podcast with Superintendent Critchfield & Learn More About Resources from Fortify Your KidsParents in Idaho now have a new resource to keep kids safe when they're using technology. Tech like iPads, laptops and smartphones are an integral part of our education landscape, but they are not always 100% safe.
Anything connected to the internet has risks associated with it. Schools work every day to make the tech as safe as possible, but parents also need to be aware of the risks and what they can do about it.
Fortify Your Kids has partnered with the State of Idaho to provide the best parent-facing tech warning and education possible so that parents know the risks and best practices to keep kids safe with personal and school-based tech.
