2nd Grade Project SpotlightThis past unit, our amazing 2nd-grade students took on an exciting challenge—a marine Animal Research Project! Each student selected an animal, conducted research, and created presentations to share their findings. Through this project, they not only expanded their knowledge of wildlife but also developed real-world skills like critical thinking, communication, and perseverance.
Research is an important skill in many professions, from scientists studying animal behavior to park rangers educating visitors and veterinarians diagnosing pets. Our 2nd graders showed us that learning extends beyond the classroom—they were respectful in listening to their classmates' presentations, responsible in gathering and organizing information, and resilient in overcoming challenges along the way.
We are so proud of their hard work and enthusiasm! We encourage you to find a 2nd grader and ask them about their research—you’re bound to learn something new!
Thank you for supporting our students as they embody the Rambler Way—Respectful, Responsible, and Resilient in all they do.
Go Ramblers! |

Encouraging Independence in SchoolworkFostering independence in schoolwork is important for your child’s growth and confidence. Parents can start by gradually reducing support as their child gains skills, providing tools like checklists or timers to help them stay on track. Encouraging problem-solving and allowing them to learn from mistakes helps build resilience and independence in managing school tasks.
